After four cancellations we eventually got a ride in November.  Just a two hour one from the Fishermans'. Nice and steady for the numerous new faces.

Our July ride was from the Deerplay. Thirteen set off from the pub and we met three more up on Deerplay Moor, making a total of sixteen.  The weather was fine until the last half hour when it rained quite hard, but it was so warm it wasn't really a problem. Many thanks to Gillian for sorting the route out down the Pit Road and returning over private land.

Our June ride from Syke Common was on a day that threatened rain, but none materialised.  We went over to Wardle via the King Bill and returned on the Loop via Watergrove and had a very good lunch in the Hunters Rest on our return.

Parking was very tight across the road from the pub, and after a few hitches like missing girths we got on our way.  The ride included a lot of fields so was quite fast but very enjoyable.  The food in the Buck afterwards was very welcome on our return.

Our April ride was from Chipping.  The weather was absolutely fantastic - warm enough for T-shirts and brilliant blue skies all day. Graeme came up with the good idea of a BarBQ after the ride, so we all lazed about in the sun for a couple of hours while Graeme did the cooking.

Our March ride was from the Rams Head at Denshaw.  The weather was a lot better than our last visit i.e. no snow, but still bitterly cold. Welcome to our new member Dave.  The day started with a slight hiccup - Ann's wipers had to be repaired by a friendly Dutch wagon driver on the M62, and Katie got lost altogether and didn't get there.  Then our car broke down and we had to be RAC recovered to get home, and Graeme's car decided to join in too by threateneing to break down on Grane Road on their return journey.  Well is was the 13th!! Still, the ride was uneventful.

February's ride was from Waterfoot.  The rain held off for the first hour but then started again and we got a bit wet.  The food in the Duke of Buchleugh was very welcome.

Our January ride was from the Spice Lounge in Great Harwood and to ease everyone back into the saddle on a very cold day we were only out for two hours.  After some delay we had something to eat in the Indian - not to everyone's taste, but the ride was good.
