Background to Claim

Goodshaw to Red MossThis is a claim made by LCC as part of the Rights of Way Improvement Plan.  It runs from Goodshaw Lane to Red Moss via Compstons Cross.  I believe United Utilities have objected!
Stacksteads Railway line and linksWe have had a meeting with LCC with a view to dedication of the Stacksteads concessionary bridleways but will probably have to claim.  If anyone will fill in a user evidence form please let Chris or Wendy Walmsley know.

A claim has been submitted to LCC for this link. It is based on user evidence and will go to the next committee meeting.

The claim was submitted in 2004 but an order has not yet made in spite of LCC saying that it was the best researched claim they had seen! This hold up is due to the NERC act (backdated to 2002) which disallows byway claims. Bury Old Road is a byway and objections have been made by some users and people who live on the route who have vehicular access rights on it. 2009 and LCC still haven't filed the claim with G.O.N.E. and applied for a date for a public inquiry!
